Who Would I Vote For?

The circus campaign period has started.

The economy is alive and well with a lot of big money circulating from the proceeds of printed materials like posters and promotional calenders, tarpaulin ads, notebooks with candidate on the cover, fans to ward off the summer heat and a host of other ways and means to promote one’s self get and get elected.

Who would I vote for? I do not know yet since I am weighing the priorities of the candidates. One thing is for sure, I would vote for the one who recognizes the problem about population control.

Who would you vote for?

Stacking Cups

Stacking cups, only these are not stacked on top of one another, my entry for Photo Hunt spiral.

stacking cups

I was cleaning the closets and preparing the baby toys  my children played with when they were younger when I decided to take photos of the toys, including this set of stacking cups.

These were given to my brother’s young daughter.

Sigh, they don’t need these toys anymore, how time flies.

Nuvali Evoliving

When we went to my niece’s baptismal celebration last Sunday, we dropped by Nuvali, one of the newest places to live south of the metro. It was just unfortunate we came by when it was getting dark.

Solenad

We all fell in love with Nuvali Evoliving. I’m sure there is more to what we have seen based on the modern structures in front. I have been browsing the photos of the place and I like what I am seeing.

For  sure I would not mind long distance moving as long as our destination is this place. I would gladly pack up at the drop of a hat, promise.

Plus, the place would not be a reason not go to trail walking 🙂 Just the perfect blend of urban and rural living.

So now I sing: Sweet dreams are made of these….

Low-Cal, Low-Carb Recipes

When I attended the Dona Elena Cuisinera Club’s Summer Recipes (low-cal and low-carb)  Cooking Demo on the last Saturday of February, I was tempted to look around the mall where it was held because there was a sale going on. But of course I did not, even after the cooking demo was done. *heaves a sigh of relief*

Anyway, I will be featuring the three recipes done later today when I have the time. I just need to get my bag I left in my MIL’s home for a copy of the recipes.

Here are three photos for each of the recipes prepared:

vegetables

cream dory and mushroom

fruits and vegetables

I will be back later ASAP 😉

Chile 8.8 Magnitude 2010 Earthquake

That Chile 8.8 magnitude earthquake made a lot of people feel vulnerable.

This is true also for those who live in coastal areas where tsunamis are likely to hit. Thank God the expected tsunamis were not as bad as these were anticipated in the countries under the tsunami alerts. Chile is another story though and I really feel bad for those people who were affected by everything.

In the news, most people are on the streets or in parks living in tents because aftershocks are common and some are even very strong. For those with used travel trailers, they can stay their for the meantime.

Reports of looting is now being shown in the news and that is certainly saddening.

Haiti has not even started recovering yet and here is another country faced with another catastrophe this magnitude.

I remember my eldest daughter asking me why Haiti’s seem much more devastated than Chile even if the latter had an earthquake 500x or1000x (depending on the available literature one is referring to) stronger earthquake. This article helped me answer her question.

I don’t even want to think how this poor country of ours would fare if something like this happened.

God forbid.
