Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening

Walking is the theme for Photo Hunter and the first thing that came to mind was Robert Frost’s poem: “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”

In another PH entry is a photo of my two younger children and my husband walking hand-in-hand.

Below is a B & W photo of a wooded area that we love to go to:

I know there is no snow here but I think this is a fitting photo for my interpretation of the poem considering my geographical location 😉

This is one of our family’s favorite Sunday destination where we can go walking in the woods and biking and even have picnic lunch on a mat.

I also used Robert Frost’s “The Road not Taken” in another PH post about roads.

Does Chocolate Cause Acne?

I love chocolates and need I say that my children do too?

We always have chocolates in the house though before we have these in bars, now these come in bite sizes. The intake is also moderated since the kids ( and I ) have these for dessert.

Mommy Bloggers Go to Lunch

Last Friday, mommy bloggers namely Noemi, AnnaManila, Chats, Rachel, Jane, Aileen and Cookie ( and I ) had lunch at the A Venetto in TriNoma to celebrate belatedly Dine’s (aka Sexy Mom) birthday and as a celebration for the graduation of her two daughters. Barbed Wire

Protect(ion) is the theme for Photo Hunter this Saturday.

Below is a photo of barbed wire over grills with a ocher sunset sky backdrop.

No, that is not a prison fence. It is our home fence.

Why the grills and the barbed wire? For some protection against intruders.

Basilica Minore de San Sebastian

Countless brides with their families, diamond engagement rings, exquisite gowns and dolled up entourage have walked the long aisle of San Sebastian Church or the Basilica Minore de San Sebastian which was one of the photos I featured in my Litratong Pinoy entry.

This is one church that has captured the hearts of people, whether through its design or its history or perhaps both.

This all steel church is on the tentative list of UNESCO Heritage Sites.

I am glad that we included this in our itinerary when we did our family annual Visita Iglesia during Holy Week. When the kids were asked what church made the best impact for them this church won hands down 🙂

Rain in the Summertime

“I love to feel the rain in the summertime!” sings The Alarm.

Is the rainy season officially here?

This summer season is quite unusual because instead hot weather being experienced the whole day through, the country is experiencing thunderstorms and rain showers during the early afternoons till evenings. Sure its nice to have a cooler weather at night though it is still humid despite the cool air.

People are now wondering if they can still spend sunny days at the beach or do fun summer activities.
